Good luck AK I did 4 years haze gray and underway and don't regret a minute of it , 1976-1980 USS RK TURNER CG-20 , USS BOWEN FF-1079. Did Great Lakes for MM-A school Nov-Feb that is one cold azz place that time of year.

Congrats. Read every last word of it. Only sign if it's exactly what you are looking for. If they make a "mistake" on it and tell you that you can always renegotiate during A school - walk away. Come back when they exactly want you want in writing.

Thanks for the tip there. I'll definitely do so. Monday should be a great day for me.

Good luck! My son went through the same run a round. He put down that he had asthma when he was younger. They mad him take two pulminary tests to prove he no longer had it. I put twenty one yrs in the Coast Guard so i know how the military works.....hurry up........and wait. Again good luck with everything, my son ships out probably in Feb 2010 for the Great Lakes.

Yep....signed up through the recruiter in Toms River.

Once I find out my ship date Ill post it up here, for all I know Ill end up next to him in basic... Whats he going in for?

Hey guys...

Its official, Im now E1 AECF of the United States Navy Delayed Entry Program. Ship date is currently April 6, 2010 but that may change.

Im currently taking weekly PT tests for the SWCC program, in the next few weeks I should be able to qualify for it.

That's what screwed me out of getting into the Marines,told me no go because of a knee injury . Had a Navy and Army recruiter come up to me after having a few words with the Marine recruiter and said they will get me in and I told them in a nice way to pound sand :twisted:
