Just made some Casting Eggs today
Made up a few casting eggs today, gonna try to get up into those rocks where the Big Girls are hiding. 1.8oz, 1.6oz & 1.3oz
Re: Just made some Casting Eggs today
They are used to cast small flies on spinning or conventional tackle. The flie (tied to a flourocarbon leader) is attatched to the casting egg by hanging it on the nail. When the egg hits the water the flie pops off and it and is then retrieved.

andy
I see you got the weight on them....we throw small jigs on them same as you built (maybe the nail down a little).but I tryed to put some lead to get more distance...tailed weighted....the jig lalls off(3/8oz)...funny never thought it would happen...but I quess the weighted egg go faster than the jig causing the jig to come off....they look good

The egg will float and keep the teaser off the bottom that's why a 3'leader so it can just roll with the current

Saltys had the in 2 sizes for 7.50 & 8.50 but you can go to Michaels and buy the eggs for .69 each. You can either drill them through and put a through wire or just go with the screw in eyes. You can throw a little exopy on the threads and there not coming out.
