sandeel pattern

hook 3/0varivas
tail white buck tail coated with CCG and pulled tight and shot with light to prevent tail wrapping
hook shank wrapped with bills body braid
under wing cashmeir goat: coat bills body and the white goat with CCG
add more white goat to build belly
add chartuse chasmeir goat over white
then add olive cashmier goat over wing
ADD krystal flash on sides pink & olive
add top wing dun cashmier goat
add stickie eyes to head and coat with CCG/ OR TUFFlies

Please forgive my ignorance, but I would like to know what CCG is?

Jim CCG ( Clear Cure Goo ) is a UV cured Acrylic. It comes in syringes and they also make a brush on I believe.

It goes for about $11. a syringe but it goes a long long way and you have a finished fly in seconds. It comes in a thin formula and also a thick, and flexible. And I think they even make it with holographic flex in it now also.

Here's a few I've done with the CCG



This next fly was done using only CCG and feathers. No thread was used to attach the feathers on the fly they were all glued on with the CCG.

Is that the Varivas hooks you're using there, as well? I have some Owner AKI's, they might do the job, I know they are used for flies as well as bait..

hey nice flies charlie........say jimfishuk the Varivas hook 2600st-v is a heavey hook you can use what ever you like....the 3/0 is a little heavyier so to get down quicker and in hope to kick up some sand like the natural sand eel.......one good thing bout the NorthEaster blowing hard......its gona get some fish close to the beach for sure

Now you just need to tie a clam pattern.
