Tying While Chating
Lat night in between chatting with a few members in the chat I tied this one up. This was the first time I got to use the Lady Amherst Feathers on a fly as the side cheeks.
I think I'll do another in the same colors and style. I like the way it came out.
But not sure how the fish will like it.

Strange how the back came out almost white in the pictures when it's all yellow. It's the bright light.

I think on the next one I'll use glue on eyes rather then tab eyes.
The head kind of reminds me of a bird

Re: Tying While Chating
I tested the fly in a sink full of water to see it's profile shape when wet under water. It changes the fly shape after the soaking, and gives the fly more of a truer shape.
As you can see in this picture also is the back is all yellow.
Is it me or does it look more like a bird now

Gold Finch it is then, Bruce
A shame I'm going to drown that finch this year. And hope striper's eat birds.
I'll have to sit down and tie up one with different materials that isn't a bird.
Thanks for the positive comments I think it came out nice
