BTW, Rebel, Your gonna want a 9 ft rod at least, a 10 ft stick wouldnt be too bad.

monty my sarcasm went right on by you. been fishing the salt for about 25 years now. vs 150 with a 9' and a vs250 with a 10' are my babies. you passed the "good guy" test with this post though!

Re: Introduce Yourself....
Whats up guys, my names Cory, Mainly fish out of my hobie, and from surf. But im down for a boat trip if i can find an open spot! Gas money for anyone who will take me out!!! I live in New Bedford, but fish the canal, islands, and Westport area. Ive been building my own plugs for a few month. What i like about this site is the ability to sell a few without the b.s. of other sites. Im not a commercial builder, (at least not yet!) but it would be nice to flip a few to support the habit without hassle. Nice job on the layout of the site! Very easy to navigate. Nice to meet everyone!

Re: Introduce Yourself....
Just found out about the site yesterday, and here I am posting already. This could be another one of my addictions.
I'm married with two boys(14 and 10) who both like to fish. We enjoy both freshwater and saltwater fishing. I have a 14' v-hull, decked boat and a kayak. I usually take the boys out with me and we take the boat up to the Schuykill or Marsh Creek for bass fishing. When we do saltwater we head down to OC, NJ and fish the back bays.
After a long week of work and family life, I need a little "me time". That's when I do my serious fishing. I usually spend Saturday with the family and Saturday night with the wife. After they all go to bed, I jump in the van and head out to do some fishing. I usually take the kayak with me and launch at the Circle in Somers Point. I fish through the night into the morning and head back home to get some sleep before going to work Sunday night. Even though I like to fish alone, I never turn down an opportunity to meet others and fish together.
I'm pretty good at backbay fishing but need to learn alot about surf fishing. This year I plan on learning more about surf fishing at night, and am looking forward to getting lots of advice.
That's about all I can think of for now, I'll be reading and posting..................
