Flounder Recon Trip
Hit the back bays this morning with two friends, on their boat to look around for Flounder. They tossed bucktails and I used my Fluke rig. They laughed at my technique until I caught the first three Flatties (16", 16", and a 17"). The teaser helped entice hits. My buddy landed the next two (18"and 15"), and I got the final Flattie at 20". We had lots of hit and misses. You couldn't have asked for better drifts or a nicer day.
Plugged the sod banks a bit in hopes of a Striper, but no such luck. All Flatties were released in tact with instructions to grow an inch or two and find us on opening day.
